Close up view of the resulting fit between the tunnel support Z brackets and flap actuator channel. My tunnel cover and tunnel cover supports are not the length shown on the drawings at all. I made them as long as they had to be to get this nice fit.
I have a confession to make. I was at VANS a while back and I bought a spare 18” piece of the Z bracket thinking I was bound to have to remake them given the complex shapes at the ends. This was the first time I’ve bought apart before messing it up. Good news is I got them made correctly the first time and didn’t have to remake them. The piece only cost $4.00 so I’m ok with having an extra piece.
