Brief Description: Drill top F-637C horizontal angle to seat back.
Round top seat back horizontal angle F-637C.
Here we are fitting and drilling the top horizontal seat back angles. As with the vertical angles I drilled the angle first with the drill press. Using a fence I only had to measure hole locations along the length.
Once you have one horizontal angle drilled, you can use it to drill the bottom horizontal angle and also the upper hinge. All 3 of these horizontal parts have the same hole spacing. Well, actually the upper hinge has different end hole locations but I made them the same as the others. More on that later.
You can see how well the top angle fits in the seat pan.
Interesting that the plans don’t call out for rivets between the top angle and seat pan coming down from the top? I’m contemplating adding some.
