Brief Description:  Drill 3 holes in 982E for engine control cables.

I drilled all three 1/5” holes in the 982E access cover plate for all three engine control cables. Throttle, carburetor heat and mixture. Carburetor heat? Looks like I’m building for a 0-360 carbureted engine instead of the IO-360 fuel injected engine.

This cover plate will cover the inexpensive $40.00 low pressure, carburetor, auxiliary fuel pump. Sure beats the expensive $600.00 high pressure fuel injected fuel pump.

Today I also called vans and had them change my cowling from horizontal induction to vertical induction. You can’t have a carbureted engine on a horizontal induction system. So, looks like I’m getting the typical cowling that has the RV Donky Donk, snorkel or scoop.
