Brief Description: Fuselage - Rivet F-704H to side skin.
The plans spell out this small task as well. The plans say to rivet 5 holes on the forward side of the cut out (left side image 1) and all 6 on the aft side (right side of picture). Well, viewing other logs I see that many are riveting 6 on the left and 7 on the right. What the heck. Plus the drawings call out 2 pulled rivets on the bottom. So, the written plans don’t match the drawing rivet call out and builders are solid riveting 13 rivets instead 11 called out rivets.
I figured out why it’s OK to rivet the 13 solid rivets instead of the 10 solid and 1 pulled as per plans but I’m to tired to explain. It has to do the a discrepancy between the engineers that draw up the drawings and the group that wrote the written word. The written word is the thing to do put add the 2 top rivets.
