Brief Description:  Fuselage - Rivet platenuts to 705. Part 1.

The 706 bulkhead gets a bunch of platenuts for the removable floors. Normally the floors are not removable and platenuts are only installed in locations that screw on the 751 corrugated bulkhead web. In locations that were to receive pop rivets to hold down the floor now get flush platenuts.

As for platenut attach rivets I used both counter sunk NAS rivets and normal dimpled rivets. I used countersunk NAS rivets in locations where 2 layers of aluminum exist and normal dimpled rivets where only a single layer exists. This seemed to work out fine.

The blue tape marked platenut locations that need to sit flush. This just help against mistakes of dimpling for the #8 screws.

You can see I used my handy dandy platenut jig for floor platenuts. This jig is worth the money.

You can also see I used DRDT-2 (R2D2) instead of the squeezer for the screw dimples and platenut dimples.
