Brief Description: Fuselage - Reinforce armrest with angle.
Lots of logs show a modification to reinforce the armrest. If you have ever seen the Vans RV7A armrest then you will want to reinforce it as well. On Vans RV7A the inside armrest flange is totally bent up. Really bent bad in multiple places. I’m sure it’s from people not knowing to not put your weight on it while entering and exiting. I’ll know better but my passenger may forget.
Most logs show riveting angle to the web of the arm rest. I did it a bit different and riveted angle to the flange. I bought 0.5x0.5x1/16”x72” angle from the local hardware for $6.00. Rivet spacing is 1” but 2” spacing would have been OK.
