Brief Description: 1" hole in side skin for fuel line.
It’s time to drill the 1” hole in the side of the fuselage that also goes through the F-7101 Gear Web Attach for the fuel line. You can see my preparation here. I backed the hole with a piece of wood for the hole saw bit to stabilize in.
All went well except I got a 1 and 1/16" hole, not 1.0” hole. This really burns my but because I had a feeling that it was going to do this based on viewing the saw wobble. But I didn’t do anything about it. I should have gone back and bout the 7/8” hole saw and then enlarged it with a sanding drum. I’ll really mad at myself. The grommet is large and I sure it will be OK. But still!
