The gear leg weldments need to be drilled, both at the main junction and at the end of the forward arm to #12 bit. Here I have both weldments bolted on in preparation for drilling. I removed 2 platenuts on the bottom flange of the main wing spar to get these guys in. I’ll put the platenuts back after the wings are bolted on for the final time.
I reamed out the weldment attach holes just a bit because the temporary bolts through the main spar seem to have issues with them. The weldment attach holes are not perfectly aligned with the bolt holes in the main spar. I reamed the smaller holes out to a letter G drill bit and the larger hole to 29/32”. I may have to go larger but I’m afraid to do it now.
