Brief Description:  F-623 Corner rib - Drill left rib to bottom skin.

Finding the proper location for this rib was a bummer. You see, this rib comes with out any pre punched holes. Neither the web nor flanges are pre punched. The rib has a curve on the outside forward end and you have to locate it so the outside flange lines up with the outside of the bottom skin. Mine don’t line up. I can get the forward end to line up or the aft end, but not both. So, you have to decide which end is more important to have lined up. I decided the forward end is most important because the side skin fits flush against the rib flange only on the forward end. The side skin gets bent and curved on the aft end so does not fit flush against the rib flange. In image 1 you can see how I used straps to clamp the rib in place so the forward end rib flange is even with the outside edge of the bottom skin.

Now, drill and cleco away.

In image 2 you can see I’ll not drill the last hole on the aft strap. I’ll match drill it later when I match the center section with the rear section.

In image 3 I did however drill the last hole of the strap.
