Brief Description: F-704 BH - Prime and attach platenuts to cover sup
What we have here are 6 small parts (cover supports) that need to be primed. I just had a hard time wanting to go through the whole process of spraying that Stuart Systems primer. It takes time and is a real hassel. So, my bro Steve (also building an RV7-A, www.mykitlog.com/sglynn) turned me on to this rattle can primer. Its a self ecthing primer made by SEM.
Bought some at out local paint shop. Cost $16 bucks. How do I like it. I love it. Easy to spray. Dries to touch in 5 minutes. Ready to rivet in an hour. Wow. It also seems to be very strong and hard. I'm sold on it.
After an hour after priming I attached 14 platenuts on these suckers. Used the same procedure as the platenuts on the spar center section. Went fast. Rivets are totally flush.
