Brief Description: Inboard Wing, Tank Z Bracket, Nut Plates, part 2
So, this wing inboard gas tank Z bracket gets lots of attention. Very diffacult to rivet. If I were to do it again I would use pulled rivets. Notice I didn't say "Pop" rivets. Rivet gun goes on the top leading edge and bucking bar goes on the bottem trailing edge. Out of all the rivets holing 6 nut plates, 2 rivet manufactured heads are raised up just a bit and are not totaly flush. Good enough. I shook hands with it and I'm OK with that.
Now, all gas tank nut plates are bolted in place and it's now time to mount the gas tank. Some critical work mountin that gas tank. See next entry.
