Brief Description: Roll Bar - Fabricate 632A bottom cover.
As others have done I fabricated a bottom cover on the 632A. The cover really puts a finishing touch on this roll bar brace. Plus I can run wires through it and possibly add an LED baggage area light. Maybe a coat hook, or what ever.
I found a sheet of 0.025” sheet, or maybe its 0.028. Anyway I cut to fit and drilled 8 attach holes in the sheet. As usual I matched drilled these 8 holes through a piece of 1/8” stock bar. Some have used flush #6, some round head #6. Me, I went the round head #6. Next I centered up the cover on the 632A, clamped and match drilled it. Drilled the wing holes for the platenuts. As a drill jig I used shortened counter sink #6 screw to center up a plate nut for drilling. I put a screw driver bit in a ¼” wrench to tighten and center the plate nut screw under the 632A flange. I’ll rivet on the plate nuts after I prime.
