Brief Description: Roll Bar - Drill bottom roll bar channel holes.
Time to drill roll bar flange holes. Here I did it differently then any of the building logs that I frequent. All others I noticed drilled the flange holes while the channel was laying flat in the jig. Very difficult getting those inside holes because the hole location is so close to the jig. I drilled all the roll bar channel holes, both top and bottom channels as shown in this log entry. My way just made more sense to me. I guess its because I like to match drill everything I can.
The hole in the 1/8” square drill jig is exactly ¼” from the edge. Pushing the drill jig against the cleco clamps aligns the edge of the drill jig to the edge of the flange perfectly. Then just push a drill through. I went right to the large #30 drill. When you match drill you don’t need to start with the smaller #40. Easy, precise and did I say easy? I really recommend doing this way.
