While Rick was here we had a little diversion planned during his "help out an aviation brother" visit.
Rick is assisting a high school in a project building a HATZ aircraft that was donated to the school from the estate of an elderly gentleman. The weather didn't cooperate for most of Ricks trip out here but it changed and on Friday we were able to launch for KFDK to meet with the guy Carlo that built this beautiful airplane.
The excursion was about a 40 minutes each way with a bit of bumps developing but not bad at all. The FDK airport has a nice little cafe and we had a crab cake lunch before launching back to KHWY.
A great day with a nice little diversion.....and wonderful to see and fly in Twitter again!
