Brief Description:  Landing Gear Fairings and Misc Part 2

We continued by starting on the upper fairings. Some things in the homebuild arena are such that the planning and figuring how you want to do them is pretty much the largest part of the job. So it was with the upper fairings.

We had great fairing "blanks" to start with that Rick helped me make...so that is a great start. But now it was all about asthetics and figuring out where to make the attachment points. So as it is with Rob and I we began looking and talking....looking at photos....using Robs experience on his builds and crunching ideas. That took a bit of time but by the time we hashed it all out we came up with a good plan.

We started drawing and marking and laying out lines to trim the fairings. When we were happy with the lines we started grinding and cutting. I was mainly the profile guy and Rob was mainly the grinding guy......he does it very good!!!

Well by the end of the night we have the upper fairings done (with lots of finish work still needed to be completed) and the bottom fairings untouched as of yet.

All in all a great work session......Thanks Rob!
