Brief Description: Work on Top Cowl and Oil Door #2
More navigating through the process of fitting the cowling.
I set the cowl on the airplane and positioned it to where I wanted it to sit on the spinner fixture. I set the cowl about 1/8 inch below the disc on the fixture as this will give it a little adjustment if the engine mounts sag a little in the process of time. I drilled and cleko'ed the cowling in that position,
I was able to put the halves together in order to get the propeller hole round and then marked the center line where I will trim the flanges. I used a portion of Dan Horton's build log to get this portion set. It definitely took some wrestling and work to get it complete and marked so It can be cut.
Finally, I decided to make another oil door since I have enough carbon fiber on hand......just in case.
