Brief Description:  Mixture Cable

With the cowling fitting well, I wanted to look at everything including the mixture arm that we knew would pose a problem with hitting the cowl as it was in a tight area and the arm was problably going to hit the cowl.

As we began to address and check the mixture cable movement it sure enough did hit the cowl. The cowl was limiting the misture from hitting FULL RICH stop by just under 3/16ths of an inch. Rob and I began to brainstorm and throw any suggestion up against the wall that might have creedence.

After a lot of hashing out options we decided to go with the upside down bolt which helped with about half the distance to the stop, so we have a solid 1/16th of an inch to go. The second step will be to clear out an area of honeycomb that should give ample clearance for the arm and bolt WITHOUT HAVING TO PUT A BUBBLE! That has been my goal. You can put nice fglass out-dents to accommodate the issue.....but they just detract from the smoothness of the exterior so I am seeking to aviod "the bubble".

So that seems to be the direction I will choose to go. There should be no problem removing the honeycomb without breaking through the outer fiberglass shell.

Thanks again for Rob and the help and brainstorming session!
