Brief Description:  Started Coolin Fan Guard

Well when you have time you have to work on your plane, you never know what wrenches will get thrown at you. I was goofing off some and then we were hit with snow then ice, lost power for 3 days. Between digging out the in-law from the snow and ice and getting my own generator hooked up it really cut into my build time.

Today I started to make the guard for the cooling fan. Since it sits up in the baggage compartment I needed a way to keep shifting bags from blocking the air inlet. 90% of the time this area will be empty but on those hopefully frequent long trips I plan to take, I want the protection. I am using a fan guard sold at the local electronic store. I came up with a retainer today and will get it cut out tomorrow.

I the holes in the fan guard do not match up with the holes in the fan so I am making a retainer that the guard will fasten to and then that will get fastened to the fan itself.
