I started to mount the main tire and tube today. I did not want to do anymore on the canopy because when I start that sucker I don’t want to stop till it is all cut to size. I am using Grove Magnesium Main wheels for weight reduction and the Grove nose wheel for the same and also for shimmy reduction. The Grove nose wheel axel does a better job of not binding the bearing excessively.
I realized after reading the instructions for the grove wheels that they are shipped with just a small amount of grease on the bearings for corrosion protection but will need to be packed full with grease before installation. They used Aeroshell 22 so I will have to find some before I continue.
