Brief Description: Painted CB Panel, started Purge line
I actually had a layover near home, so I rented a car and went home. I got down to the shop for a little work. The main project was to paint the CB panel so I can get it labeled and the CBs mounted. Between coats I started to fabricate the purge return line, I ended up stopping because I need to decide where the line should penetrate the firewall. I need to get on-line and get some ideas. This is one of the tough things about this stage in the build; there are no “exact” directions. I don’t want to make a hole in the firewall and then when installing the engine, discover that it was in a bad spot. Conferring with other builders helps prevent this type of mistake.
