Brief Description: New right console with breaker panel
When you make things from scratch it makes for long days. I want to make a vertical panel that goes from the right mid-cabin console up to the upper console. This vertical panel will have all of my circuit breakers and the sloped upper console most of the switches. I pulled out the old mid-cabin console with the ridge in it and used it as a template and drew it out on some sheet aluminum. I had to make some cutouts for the bolt head and rivets that hold the rear rudder pedal idler arm bracket. After I was happy with that I made the vertical wall. It is in two pieces, I want it hinged to fold out but a one piece panel would interfere with the brake line and I did not like the look of a shorter panel. I ended up doing most of the work with a cutoff wheel and file since I broke my last blade on the band saw.
After getting the hinge on the vertical panel I gave it a test fit, I am please with the results. I still need to install some nut plates along the seam and the upper console to hold it in place.
Flat console done.

Open for easy access if additional circuits added later.
