Brief Description: Removed bolts to right gear weld mount
I spent most of the day at the NW aviation trade show. It was nice to see all of the latest electronic gear. I made an order with Spruce Aircraft since the shipping is free. I have been waiting for this show just to place the order for some needed items. I meet and talked with an RV-9 builder who had his project on display, he is putting in the Precision FADEC system, and it is electronic ignition and fuel control, no mixture knob required! Seems like a very interesting system, something to consider.
Anyway when I go home I decided to tackle the removal of the right gear weld mount. It took just over an hour to remove all of the nuts and bolts. The nuts are easy enough but the bolt where a PITA! The bottom ones came out easy enough but the top ones really tried my patents. But they are all out now; I just need to drill out the three nut plates so that the weld mount can be pulled out. That will have to wait until tomorrow.
