Brief Description:  More fitting right gear weld mount

Well more pain in the butt work with the gear weld mount. I removed the 3 nut plates on top of the spar cover so that I could remove the gear weld mount. After marking where the holes needed to be trimmed I remove the mount and trimmed the holes. Then the tough job of fitting the mount back in place to check the fit. This mount goes in with a little more tension than the left. I had to play around with long metal pins to get the bolts started. I cut off the threads of the old bolts and used them as pins to hole the mount in place. I removed the mount for a second trimming which I had hoped would be the final trim. I primed the back of the weld mount and let it dry and then re-fit the mount only to find I had one hole that still interfered. Of course it was the lower outboard hole so that was not chance of trimming it in place, out came the mount. I trimmed the hole and re painted the area and decided to call it a night. Tomorrow the gear mount will be installed for the last time, and this god forsaken task will be done and I can get on with the building.

My name finally came up on the list for a hanger at a nearby airport, not the closest one but only another 15 min of drive time. I will be signing up today, I really don’t need the hanger for a few months gut I would rather get into it early than need one and have to wait around months to get into one. Besides these are totally new nice lighting and I have a unit with a great view of the runway.
