Brief Description: Drilled flap actuator for safety wire
I did not get much done today; I was the cook for the Thanksgiving day Turkey and couple of other dishes. I started early and took an hour to continue work on the plane. The next section is getting the flap assembly hooked up. I stared by drilling the 1/16th inch hole at the end of the flap actuator arm, this will be used to safety wire the rod end bearing. Well I am her to tell you that this was tougher than I though. It is steel I was drilling through, and I ended up braking off 3 bits trying to get this done. Any kind of side stress on this small bit will make it break. Thank fully getting the broken parts out of the hole was not a big hassle. I stopped here since I had to get ready for the feast!
