Well I am back for a couple of days and tried to get a few things done on the project. The day I left I spoke with Scott at Van’s about the bulge in my F807 bulkhead and he said I could try to tap it out with a flush set in the rivet gun and a really low pressure. Well I gave it a try and it just will not budge, so since Scott also said it would OK to leave it, that is what I am doing.
I fabricated the F-445 flap bearing blocks, this amounts to drilling 2 holes in each and beveling two sides of the block to provide clearance from the weld mount and the side of the fuselage. I test fit the blocks into the aft holes and it looks like the bolt heads will interfere with the seatbelt attach brackets. The instructions say to trim part of the bracket off but I guess they did not trim enough when they constructed the QB fuselage.
