I moved onto some stuff in the tail. I had not installed the cushion clamp that holds the plastic tube the rudder cable goes though as it exits the fuselage side. I should have done this before the top skin was installed, it took some clever use of tools to get them installed but now they are done.
I modified the two tail inspection covers by cutting a 1 7/8” hole which will get a clear piece of Lexan over it. Most aerobatic plans have a way to see the elevator push rod connection on preflight. This little clear window will allow me to do that. I cut out the Lexan but now I need to decide how to fasten it to the cover, glue or rivets. I am leaning rivets, but I know Sika would hold these on forever but if they crack and need to be replaced, rivets might make a better idea.
