I lost a lot of time today waiting on a package to be delivered. It was my emergency parachute and it required a signature. I did manage to get in 2 hour work.
I riveted on the step and then riveted the open hole on the right side of the fuselage that a step would go if one wanted on there. They leave this holes open in the quick build kits to give you that option.
After riveting the step I spent the rest of the time trimming the left flap fairing to clear the step. I happy with the fit, maybe a bit more, I am going millimeter at a time so I don’t get too big a gap, the plans call for 1/16 but I may shoot for more like 1/32, I don’t see much flex in the step when I put weight on it.
