Brief Description:  Check valve bracket

I used the drawing I made yesterday to draw the lines on to .032 sheet aluminum I then drilled and cut the patter then bent it to shape. After a test fit I primed the bracket. Once dry I riveted on the side flanges and pop riveted the bracket to the floor the location is a bit bad in that it make getting at the B-nut on the fuel pump a little tough to get a wrench on but it will work. I wrapped the valve in clear silicone tape and then used a low profile zip tie to secure it in place. I was going to use a stainless hose clamp but that is over kill and weighs more.

Next I turned to the engine; I marked the purge valve cable anchor bracket for the AN3 bolt that holds the clamp then test fit. It all works great.

Not really work but I pulled the mess of plastic that covers the canopy when shipped and gave it a light cleaning before covering the top with plastic wrap. I took the opportunity to snap a picture! I am leaning all I can about fiberglass before I cut any part of the fairing. The forward part is lying nice but the aft end will need to be cut and re-glassed, this seems to be typical. The fitting of the canopy bubble, which I did over a year ago, is really an individual thing and not two are the same so the pre-formed fairings just get you close to the final solution.
