Brief Description:  Drilled anchor block and rollers

needed to drill for the two screws that hold on the anchor block. My squeezer hit something which distorted the bulkhead some when I dimpled the screw wholes but the block bolted in just fine. This seems like a simple task but this took a lot of time to draw out where the holes should go, this is one place some pre-punched holes would have been nice.

I dusted off the canopy and installed it on the track and rollers. After I clecoed the skirts on I had to take them off to drill for the bolts that hold the canopy onto the roller assembly. While I was at it I installed and tested the mid canopy stop I picked up from Mike Zeller.

The system works like this, the wedge shaped lever hangs off the roller bolt, when you move the canopy forward and aft the lever moves out of the way but if you bring the canopy forward just past the catch then move it aft the lever hooks on the catch and holds the canopy in the mid position, very slick. I will drill the catch later after everything is done.

I have done a rough list of Tasks to complete do and how much time each task should take and I am always over, it looks like I may not be done until the end of the year, so much for making the end of October. It just shows me I really need to buckle down and get stuff done each day I am at home. I can make stride if I work double hard but then I really do not need to add pressure that is self induced, it’s done when it’s done!
