I had a doctor appointment and then farted around and really did not get any real work done until this evening. I did mess with one of the stick grips and the flap relay. I wanted to make sure what wires go where. I annotated the flap relay diagram with the wire colors from the stick grip and motor. I thought it was better to figure this out on the kitchen table instead of while I am upside down in the airplane. And of course I would not want my flap to go down what I push the up button!
The real work I got to was making up a paper template that will be used to make a cover for the rear flight controls. The plans don’t call for this but it is a modification really required for safety. The big opening can allow pencils, pens or who knows what to get into the controls and possible cause them to bind up. This cover will prevent that and it will look nicer. We will see how it turns out.
