I continued work with the control sticks and grips until a messed up the rear stick. The rear stick is held in place a pin in a #12 hole. I needed to drill an exit hole in the stick for the grip wires; I drilled it to ¼” then changed the step drill bit, but when I started with the second bit I drilled the small hole that us used to attach the stick to the control base. Oh well these things happen, thankfully the new stick is only $17 and will be on the way tomorrow.
I finished the day putting together my engine hoist and lifted the engine off the pallet. I will be putting some pressurized oil in to help keep the inside preserved until it is run for the first time. I wanted it on the hoist so I can start to attach the alternator and prop governor before the engine is mounted on the plane.
