Brief Description:  Primed the VS

I used a gun to shoot Sherwin Williams P60 Industrial wash primer. This is my first time using this stuff; for the ribs I just used a rattle can etch primer made by Sherwin Williams as well. I am just a little confused since it does not look like this stuff covers. I have heard that it does not cover like a truly pigmented paint. I was warned not to put on too much, but I might have. It does not look like it is totally covered but it is, I can feel the surface and there is most likely too much on there. I may not be setting the gun correctly so I will have to play around with it a bit. The rattle can primer is not recommended for larger areas so that is why I decided to use the spray gun for the skin priming. It sure is a big effort to set everything up and then clean up afterwards. I am consulting with some other builders on how the priming went; hopefully I will have more confidence with the other skins.

The paint booth worked great, spray was not a problem, and I could not smell a thing until I took off the respirator, which was after the clean-up. I think the booth is going to work well with the size parts I will need to paint. The HS spar will be too long for the booth but I sized it so I should be able to do all of the skins with the booth.
