Brief Description: Lighted Pitot Heat Toggle
While at the electronic store I found a switch I plan to use for my pitot heat, this switch will be on the right console, it will be near other toggles and I wanted a way to tactilely differentiate it from the other switches. I did not put it on the forward panel since it is a switch I will use rarely. Since it will not be used much there is a chance of forgetting that it is on. All of my annunciator light slots are spoken for so I can’t put an idiot light there. I found this great toggle switch, it is very robust, much like the other toggle switches, but this switch has a tiny LED light in the tip. Now this will be my indication that the pitot heat is on, it is very bright when you look directly at the light, I may need to find a way to dim it when flying at night, or the old school method of a piece of masking tape over the top. In the photo I used a light to show the power flow to the pitot heat, the switch is temporarily in the hole for the Safety Trim module. I already planned an idiot light in the enunciator stack for the fuel boost pump but this switch would work real nice for this function.

No flash was used, so you can see its brightness.
