I made a new copper bar to connect the ANL to the start relay. I really did not like the one with the twist and I thought of a new way to connect it with just a single bend and a slight joggle. I don’t like how long the Dynon shunt it, I am going to check on Monday to see if I can use one that B&C sells, their 60A shunt in only as long as the ANL, it would make things fit on the firewall better. I loosely attached the motor mount to make sure my shunt location would fit if I end up having to use the long one. It is kind of cool to see the motor mount in place.
I moved the battery bus and standby regulator from where I had planned them yesterday. I remembered the line from the batter bus to the battery relay should be no more than 6 inches, so this is what prompted the move. The regulator will now go higher up on the aft wall of the baggage well. I installed the baggage floor and took some measurements for a floor extension that will cover the baggage well since I have now made it my “battery well”. I don’t want anything falling into the battery or wires. While I had the whole thing together, I marked the final position for the battery tray and then match drilled the tray to the floor.
If I can use a smaller shunt I will move it up and to the right
Too bad I am not ready to hang the motor!
