Brief Description:  ELT antenna & more aft wiring

Today was Anita’s birthday and she went out cross country jumping and I stayed in and did some work on the plane before going out to pick up a card and cake. We meet the gang for pizza and then went to our hours for cake later that night.

I worked some more on the aft wire bundle. I need to find out how I want to mount the ELT antenna. It is not ideal but it does hide it if you mount in under the tail fairing. I spent some time looking over some other builder sites to get some ideas. I finally put the drill to metal and drilled the hole in the F810 bulkhead and while I was at it I drilled some hole for bushings to get some wires to the tail light. The LED posistrobe needs 3 wires, the light has 4 wires but one is for ground which I can do locally.

My supplies came in from Stein, so I used my Daniels crimper for the first time to crimp on the D-sub pins to the aileron servo wires. I will hear shrink each pin once connected and then one larger piece over all the pins once this is done. The last thing I did was use one of the brackets I picked up yesterday to make a stand off to hold the conduit clear of the lightening hole. It ended up a little lower than I planned but this will work just fine.
