Today I learned how great the internet is, I had posted my issue with the prop bolt safety wire, a guy in the local area offered to stop by, and he has the same prop as mine. He flew in from north of Seattle in his very nice RV-7. I installed some of the required placards while I waited for Steve to arrive. I put the “EXPERIMENTAL” on the turtle deck, this is temporary since it will come off for paint but it might be a good location for it, that or I will put it on the canopy skirt or sidewall inside the cabin. I put he “Passenger Warning” sign on the mid cabin roll bar.
After giving me the technique I needed for the prop bolts Steve gave my plane the once over. We talked about some stuff but for the most part he likes my work and thinks my inspection will go well.
I spent some time after Steve left on the prop bolt safety wire but did not like my work, I need more practice with this.
