I had to go to the electronics store to get some Molex connectors and I found a magnetic contact that I will use to let me know when the baggage door is unlocked. It is a real pain to be all strapped in and then to discover you did not lock the door. This plunger type contact will depress when the door is locked. I can set up several contacts in the EFIS for this, so now I should know as I power up the plane if I remembered to lock the baggage door.
I also played with a hand seamer to get the bottom half inch of the door to lie down on the side of the fuselage. Last thing I need to do before it goes to paint is file the side down some to allow for a paint gap so I am not chipping the paint every time I open and close the door.
