Brief Description: 2. NAV/STROBE and Landing lights
I had some great help from someone on VAF who has these same lights, he sent me pictures of his install which made fast work of mounting them. I made a rough template out of cardboard then traced this on to the wing tip. I have the lights angled down just a bit from the wing chord line, this should make the beam straight out from the plane on the ground and should illuminate the runway on landing fairly well. I will not know for sure until I fly at night.
With the baggage door done I now can re-install my instrument panel which I need to do because I need to mount the remote compass in the right wing and I need the angle of the instruments to make that accurate. I am one happy camper, getting closer by the day!
The bracket has some slight adjustment with sloted holes to refine things.
The light can has to come back so it clears the clear plastic lens that goes over the corner
