Brief Description:  Installed elevator tested trim

Really long day today, I was in early and it did not get hot so I put in a full day. I had hoped to install all of the tail parts for the last time today but I only managed to get the elevator hooked up.

I wired up the pitch trim and tested it for correct travel. The motor has two wires and if it runs in the wrong direction based on the switch input you just reverse the wires, well I had a 50% chance of having it correct the first time and it worked!

I am using a marine grade terminal black with ferules on each wire. This will allow the elevator to be removed for painting. I may use a 9 pin D-Sub connector after it returns from paint, or I might see how the terminal idea lasts. I left plenty of excess wire for future modification. The wires are tied and some rubber grommets keep it from chaffing on the aft deck.

I did not get to the vertical stabilizer and rudder today but it still feels good to have the elevator all hooked up!
