I stayed at home this morning to prime the vertical stab fiberglass tip, I have it fitting nearly perfect so I want to get it installed so I can fit the vertical stabilizer on the plane.
When I arrived at the hangar I finished up the rudder pedal installation. Then I hooked up the rear throttle and then installed the throttle console covers. While some aluminum re-reinforcing strips where setting up I painted the rear cockpit center console.
After installing the vertical stab tip I test fit it on the plane. It just touched the top skin; this skin was not on the plane when I did the initial fitting. I rechecked and the VS is straight and plumb. I will need to cut some of the VS away to prevent it from rubbing. I am guessing 1/8” will do the trick but I will check tomorrow.
Last thing I did was to final install the circuit breaker panel and right switch console. I also installed my G=meter.
