Next was a mile stone of sorts. I mounted the flaps and made sure they traveled up and down without interference. I seem to have what is typical with the RV-8s, a gap between the bottom of the plane and the flap, it does not sit flush. The fix will be to bend the skin up to meet the belly, this will have to wait until they come off and I can trim off the excess skin. I also measured the flap travel to make sure it is within the 40-45 degree limit. Mine travel almost to 41 degrees.
