Brief Description:  Upper skirt gap work

First day of work for the month but will be out for a while working trips. I cut and sanded the front part of the skirt in line with the middle of the canopy frame. Not sure I should have trimmed the front skin as much as I did but the windscreen fairing will extend over the gap that is there now.

I then worked on getting the upper edge of the skirt to sit flush to the canopy. I will need a slight gap for the Sika glue but the gaps right now are too large. I used the heat gun and heated only the upper edge and then pushed down while it cooled, this did not change the lower part but allowed the upper section to open up the angle. I am getting a really good fit with this procedure. I will have to finish this up after a few trips, I have a series of 3 day trips with a day in between each, I really don’t get much done with just one day to work on the plane so not sure when I will get back to work in earnest.
