Had a great weekend, and was able to see the Van’s RV-8A on my way to a horse show in Oregon. I leave on a 4 day trip tomorrow so I did not get much time in today. I spent the day trimming the lower edge of the skirt. I snapped a line that tied the lower edge of the forward top skin and the turtle deck, this seems to be what most guys do and it looks nice, if the skirt and fuselage where to be the same color it would not be a big deal but making things line up will be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, me thinks.
Since I only have 7 clecoes to hold the top of the skirt and only plan to glue the top of the skirt to the canopy I have to solve how to keep it tight, you can see in a photo how it wants to pull out, it does not take much to hold it in place so we will see what I can come up with.
