Brief Description:  Matching skirt "S" curve

Another day in the shop and making progress on the skirt fit, at a snail’s pace, but progress. Big task today was to get the “S” curves on each side to match. I sanded the right side to my liking then transferred this same shape to the left. I used poster board under the right side to trace, and then cut out the curve. I used some rivet lines as anchor points, and then I flipped the poster board and attached it using the same rivets on the left as the right and traced the curve on the left side. I trimmed and sanded a little bit at a time and test fit to see how it looked finally sanded down to the final curve, turned out really good.

I needed to figure out how much to trim off the front of the skirts so that meant putting on the front top skin. I dug this out of storage and removed the remaining blue plastic and clecoed it in place. I wanted to trim off the aft sides of the front skin to match the rivet the line in the lower side skins, so off with the skin to trim then back into position. I clecoed the windscreen in place as the last thing for the night, I leave tomorrow for Oregon and Anita’s horse show so that is all until next week, good part is I will stop by Van’s and see how company -8A canopy is finished!
