Wanting to keep the progress going it took an hour to tackle what I thought was going to be a short bit of work, ended up in the shop until 1030 pm! The oil filler tube was very close to the engine mount, as in 1/32”. I call Mattituck about it and they had two suggestions, either hear up the tube (plastic) and bend it some swap the upper and lower sections. I had tried the bend part and did not have much luck with that so I took off the tow sections an swapped them out. What too so much time was I test fit the combination before installing any safety wire, when I tried to unscrew the assembly to safety the two halves the lower part stayed in and I had a heck of a time getting it out, I could not get a wrench on it, now I know why it is installed the way it is. I finally prevailed and safety wired everything.
Short section now at the bottom was at the top.
Re-intalled and safety wired.
This is much better clearance that the 1/32" it had.
