Wow I did not get started until noon and then a family dinner called me away early! I worked on the purge valve cable anchor today. The cable does not have a threaded section with jam nuts like the other engine controls, it is more like the Bowden cable but with a threaded end, the plan is to use cushion clamp onto the bracket I made today. The bracket is secured using two of the engine case bolts.
I originally made the bracket to hang over the left side of the engine but when I test fit with the cable I realized the anchor point needs to be closer to the valve. Thankfully the bracket fit flipped around, now it hangs to the left. I failed to order an extra rod end bearing assembly so I will have to order one or try to pick up one locally.
