Brief Description:  More test fitting

Back from a trip and have caught a cold but still tried to get something done today. It seems every time I get going I have to stop and research how to route a hose or wire, this is one of the pitfalls of not going with a totally stock engine setup. The hoses in the firewall forward kit are all for a stock Lycoming. However others have gone down this road with my setup I just have to scour the web to find the answers.

I rolled the engine up to the mounted position to see how the throttle and mixture cables would work out, it seem the mixture cable bracket might interfere with the bracing on the engine mount that supports the nose gear socket. It is a close fit, since the engine is only hanging and not in the exact position it is difficult to tell if the bracket will clear.

I loosely installed the exhaust system to check other clearances. One concern is the engine came with the metered fuel line going between the #1 and #3 cylinders; I am not sure how to route and support this line to the fuel control outlet. Hmm more research.

I think my holes for the cable are fine so I think I will finalize the other firewall attachments and get those things mounted and drilled then hang the engine. The fuel control and brackets come off easy enough that I can work on them once the engine is installed.
