Brief Description:  Wired servos to terminal

Another full day in the shop but today I went backwards a bit. Since I ended up drilling holes to run the servo wire from the right wing to the left under the front seat, I decided I can get more wires from behind the panel by using a terminal block to wire all of the lights together under the seat then only one wire for each (4) needs to go forward. I had run the wires for the left wing across the back of the panel, under the left console and under the left side of the spar. It took some time to cut all of the ties I had made to remove these wires. This is going to be much more efficient and save a few ounces of wire. I was planning to make the connection for the lights today but I discovered I bought a 4 terminal block instead of 5, I pulled it out of the bin marked 5but did not actually count the terminals, oh well I will have to wait till Monday.

What I did get done was wiring the auto pilot servo harness to the terminal block. I am using a European style terminal block here. The wires get a ferrule crimped onto the ends. I was able to crimp and install the wires with the terminal block detached; I attached it to the aileron trim bracket after the wires were installed. The European style terminal strips are good if the wire gage is small. For the 16 AWG wire for the landing lights I will use an American style terminal strip like I used under the front seat.

NOTE: Just as I read this log entry and looked at the picture I realized that I wired the power wires together, each servo is to be wire to its own circuit breaker; well I guess I will be looking at this again. KNUCKLE HEAD

Top lug power, this puts servos on same breaker, I did not plan it that way. :(
