Bent up a piece of scrap aluminum as a heat dam. This allows you to shrink one wire connection at a time and protect the others from overheating.
Image 2) The servo is held with rivets and the help of washers to protect the plastic housing. Have a service loop of wire inside the aileron in case we ever need to replace / repair the servo.
