Brief Description: Layout and Cut first sheet of .016
Image 1, Today the First sheet of metal was cut. Spend 5.5 hours doing the layout. I used the "601xl.pdf.zip" files from www.CH601.org Builders Resources to guide me, but used the actual forms to nest and layout the trim and bend lines . The date on the prints outs is April 29, 2005.
Image 2, Having the forms to do the layout made it real easy to make both left and right parts.
Image 3, Here is a good idea I picked up on the Matronics Message Board. make a wood washer that the Sharpie pen fits through and use it for marking the flange cut lines. Works real good. With a pair of em you can set the forms set the blanks to share cut lines. That only works on the straight lines but it can save you some time when the cutting begins.
